For adventure activities and attractions, visit the Old Mill (De Oude Meul) Country Lodge and Restaurant in Oudtshoorn, only 12 km from the famous Cango Caves.  

As an adventure destination, Old Mill has a lot to offer, including 4 x 4 river and bush adventure experiences for adults and children, bow hunting, hiking trials, fishing, two swimming pools, a large playground with trampoline, swings, slide and jungle gym for children and horse riding nearby.

We are a working ostrich farm only in season. Watch as we farm with ostrich chicks and fully grown ostriches. There are also rabbits and ponies for the children.

We offer catch-and-release bass fishing for everyone, including children.

Enjoy lunch and dinner in our a la carte De Oude Meul Restaurant, open daily. We specialize in Venison and Ostrich dishes, but also have lamb, beef and many more dishes to choose from. The restaurant is situated next to the beautiful banks of the Grobelaars river under Willow trees, with a spectacular view of the mountains and gardens.

We also offer 4 star self catering accommodation at the foothills of the Swartberg mountains in a peaceful yet romantic atmosphere - truly a little paradise in the Klein Karoo!
