Abba mania is in the air once more as Centrestage reprises its perennial favourite feel-good tribute to the super swinging Swedes from Stockholm - Absolutely Abba

The show which appeals to new generations of fans who were not yet born in the heyday of Abba.
The cast of ten features six inaugural cast members of the first Centrestage All-Star band lineup who were part of the original box office smash hit line-up which performed at the Opera House some 6 years ago in 2006.
The fronting vocals are made up of the power-packed trio of Donna Africa, Tara-Jane Metzler and Caron Strydom. Donna brings her explosive stage personality to the fore, Tara-Jane a sophisticated sexiness – and Caron Strydom showcases a magnificent vocal tone which imbues the songs she sings with a heart-felt sentimentality which would have made Agnetha and Anna-Frid proud.
The original role of drummer falls once again to the multi-talented Gino Fabbri, whilst bassist Andre Strydom and musical director Wayne Kallis appear once more as the male Abba counterparts Bennie and Bjorn.

New cast members include Mandiso Tiso, who completes the glamour department on her Centrestage debut, along with keyboard wizard Fenlin Pitie.

Second keyboards are in the capable hands of stalwart Khanya Matomela, whilst Arno Erasmus, himself a protégé of his predecessor Donovan Hattingh, steps comfortably into his masters’ shoes on lead guitar.

The evergreen Abba songbook includes hits such as Waterloo, Super Trooper, Chiquitita, Mama Mia, Fernando, SOS, Voulez Vouz and Dancing Queen, amongst other songs which have stamped themselves permanently into the psyche of both young and old.
The band promises to recreate the real ABBA sound - no backing tracks whatsoever - and entertainment in dollops is expected in the usual Centrestage style!
