"Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate." - Alan D. Wolfelt

This quote by Alan D. Wolfelt beautifully captures the essence of food as a source of nourishment, comfort, and care, especially for those who are hungry. It highlights how food can go beyond its basic function of satisfying hunger and become a powerful symbol of love and compassion, offering solace and support in times of need.

Game Drives

Rating star review five

One word - Exceptional!

From the moment we arrived at Bon Game Private Reserve, it was like entering another world. Vast open spaces, phenomenal service and beautiful scenery. The self-catering Imba House where we stayed was beautifully decorated and catered to our every need. It felt like a luxurious home away from home. The healing mineral pool on its private deck with breathtaking views of the riverbanks will never be forgotten. During our 4km nature walk we encountered zebra, kudu, wildebeest, giraffe and many more antelope from a close distance and this was a perfect way to explore the reserve. Our game drive was another highlight seeing the reserve from yet another perspective. The Chef and food at Barney Barnato Bar was just fabulous and we could not wait for our next meal. My only negative was that I needed to head back home. Bon Game is a reserve you want to stay at and never leave. I can’t recommend it enough.

We are in love! Nick is amazing, showed us around and explained the setup. The lunch was superb and the wine even better. Drikus is a must see! So cute. The reserve is breathtaking, with mineral pools and the accommodation beautiful and very well kitted out with all one needs. Strong WiFi too. We will be back soon!!!

Beautifully located reserve along the N2. People have lots of love for the animals, you can feel that the whole time. When we were there one of the zebras foal was attacked by a zebra stallion and it was severely injured. They were doing everything to save the baby zebra by feeding him by the bottle every couple of hours and taking medical care. The game drive is really nice and you got to see several kinds of deer (impala, bontebok, etc) gnoes, zebra, giraffe, ostrich. Next to that they have a restaurant with very good pizza and other stuff, a cool bar and a private jacuzzi at the house, where you can spot the wild animals while your bathing.
