The Brown Jug offers quality superior accommodation and is centrally located, within easy walking distance from the whale watching cliff tops, restaurants, village and shopping centre.

Set on a double stand in a tranquil and leafy garden with sparkling salt water pool one can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the fine hospitality we have to offer. Secure on site parking provides peace of mind. So leave your car at the guest house and enjoy the short stroll to the village and appreciate some of the fine restaurants overlooking the ocean.

Many activities are within close proximity such as the 27 hole Hermanus golf course, Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Blue Flag Grotto Beach, the Hemel and Aarde Valley, known for fine wine and restaurants and the most amazing views imaginable.

The Brown Jug’s guest units each sleep between two to four adults and sleeper couches can accommodate a child or two in each. The largest of our units – Unit Two is ideal for families or friends travelling together as it has two bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom, sunny lounge, dining room, and a lovely patio overlooking the pool. The units are individually equipped and each has a full bathroom, with shower and bath, lounge, dining area, kitchen and comfy plush furniture. Each unit has a flat screen TV, DSTV and DVD player with free wi-fi in all units.

In the summer months the barbecue patios provide the ideal setting for an evening drink and watching the sun set behind Hoy`s Koppie. Whilst many enjoy to self cater we encourage our guests to treat themselves to A BROWN JUG breakfast we have become so well known for.
