Fernhill is a mere 15 minute drive to Knysna and the beautiful beach at Buffalo Bay, while only being 20 minutes away from Sedgefield, with its ever popular Saturday Wild Oats Market, so you will be spoiled for choice when looking for places to visit.

We have two accommodation option to choose from.

The first option is 4 self-catering Farm Cottages overlooking the farm camps where farm animals peacefully graze, creating the perfect setting to slow down and enjoy a lingering braai with friends and family. The cottages can accommodate up to 6 guests and contain 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area.� The living area has a sleeper couch for accommodating a fifth or sixth guest and the kitchens are well-equipped for self-catering. There is an inside log burning fireplace to keep you warm on the colder winter nights and the most wonderful shady stoep with built-in braai for those balmy summer nights.� The uninterrupted view of the sunrise� will make it worth your while to wake up early, sit out on the stoep and greet the day with a steaming cup of coffee, while watching the sun spread its golden rays over the farmlands, while listening to the sounds of nature around you.

The second option is 6 Tented Treehouses, set in a small forest on the farm. Each tent with its own wooden deck with tree views of the forest. The tents can accommodate up to 4 persons and is furnished with king-size beds. The family units either has a sleeper couch in the tent or bunk beds in the room below the tents. The wood-paneled en-suite bathroom is equipped with a spa bath and an overhead shower. Electric blankets, fans, heaters, as well as linen and towels, are provided. Each of the tents is also equipped with a small kitchenette, braai, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
