York High is a State, English-medium, Co-Educational School nestled in the heart of the Garden Route. It has just over 900 learners and prides itself on its multi-cultural diversity.

The school turned 40 in 2015 and is the only English-medium state High School between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. It has Dinaledi status which means that York is a focus school for mathematics and the sciences.
